History of the Department

Our department was founded in 1985 at Trakya University Faculty of Arts and Sciences by Prof. Dr. Necmettin Hacıeminoğlu.

In our department, which started education with 21 students in the 1985-1986 academic year, the Second Education program was opened in 1992.

Our department, which was formerly located in Ayşekadin Campus, is now located in the B Block of the Faculty of Letters in the Balkan Campus.

In our department, which continues its educational activities in undergraduate, graduate and PHD programs, five professors, one associate professor, nine assistant professor and ten research assistants.
